EFLIGHT Rules

The following rules are in place on the EFLIGHT mailing list. Rules violations should be reported to monitor@ezonemag.com

  1. All messages should be in plain (ASCII) text format and written in the English language. Binary attachments aren't allowed.
  2. Do not waste bandwidth. What constitutes Bandwidth Wasting is somewhat subjective. Obvious violations are overquoting and extremely long signature blocks. Other things, such as a user poll, should be conducted through regular email and not the list. Try to remember that EFLIGHT is not USENET. Every email is deposited in hundreds of mail boxes.
  3. Please keep your conversation civil. Do not insult other list members. Do not respond to insults. Do not use profanity, or innuendo. Do not post statements regarding controversial off-topic issues. This includes signature lines.
  4. Do not repeat an advertisement more than once per week. Feel free to use EFLIGHT to promote your product or service, but you will be told to stop if it becomes obnoxious or is off-topic. Consider advertising on the E Zone instead. Everyone on EFLIGHT will love you for it as the money goes to keep EFLIGHT going.
  5. Do not police the list! One of the best ways to get the monitor(s) mad at you is to do their job. They spend a lot of time behind the scenes coaching users. Trust that they are doing their job and do not post your own version of the rules to the list.
  6. Do not post off-topic material. This includes anything that has to do with the latest internet scare. In general, do not pass anything on to the list that doesn't have to do with Electric FLIGHT, no matter how well-meaning your intentions are.

The goal of these rules is to keep the list free of clutter, spams, etc, and provide an atmosphere where the users can discuss their hobby in peace without the fear of encountering "real world" issues or senseless debating.

These rules are enforced by the list owner and the EFLIGHT Monitor(s), who reserve the right to kill and eat any violators. We also reserve the right toremove any user from the list for any behavior listed above, as well as for reasons not listed.
